Hey everyone. Looking for opinions on the pm2 and manix2. I will be using mostly as an edc. I know the pm2 gets a ton of praise, but people who have the manix seem to love it as well.

Your choices here are awesome or awesome. You can't go wrong. I will say that I prefer the para 2 as it is slimmer and lighter in the pocket and I'm a huge fan of the compression lock.

^^^This!

I will say - I think some PM2s take a while to break in. Mine took some adjustment and break in, and had a sticky lock for a while, but is now fine. My Manix2 was perfect out of the box.

PM2. I LOVE the Manix2, I think it is the best "bang for the buck" knife out right now. But it is to wide in the pocket and the lock is not as user friendly as the PM2.

Pm2 long, Manix 2 Wide.
Pm2 fits in pocket better.
Manix 2 is pretty wide in pocket.
I would say the manix 2 has more hefty blade as it is wider and thicker. Pm2 is a better slicer as it is thinner.
Ergos on both are amazing.
Buy both is my recommendation as you cannot go wrong here.

The PM2 has the best ergos of any knife on the market. The Manix2 might be a slightly better heavy duty knife.
Try both. I prefer the PM2.

When I was looking to get a good folder I held pretty much every folder I liked at smkw. It basically came down to the pm2 or manix2. After several minutes holding and comparing the 2, the pm2 won. I love the compression lock on the pm2 and imo is allot easier to work one handed than the lock on the manix2. The pm2 was also allot smoother than the manic2. I ended up with the s110v pm2 and absolutely love as an edc, I will however get the manix2 when the s110v g10 version is released.

I prefer the Para2 but have both. Can't go wrong with either.
Actually I prefer the Manix XL to the standard Manix 2. Some would say it's too big for EDC and fair enough, but I don't think so.

You really can't go wrong with these choices. Personally I prefer the PM2.

One of the things I don't like about the Manix that hasn't been mentioned yet is the jimping. They put very aggressive jimping pretty much all around the handle. Not so comfortable.

I'll echo everyone else. I love my PM2 in every way. I briefly owned a manix 2, which was also great, but my one complaint was that the lock was just too stiff and awkward for me to use one handed.

You can definitely rest easy knowing that you're choosing between two stellar knives!

Both are great. I prefer the pm2. In addition to hogging less pocket space it is a bit more nimble in use.

I have a PM2, and I bought my brother a Manix 2, G10, FFG. If I were doing it again, I'd probably switch them around. :)

If you don't have a Delica, however, get that instead. :p

I love the ergos and feel of the Manix, especially the s110v lightweight, but I like the lock on the PM2 better. If you can get a sprint run Para2, with an upgraded steel, go with that. Otherwise, I highly recommend the s110v lightweight Manix.

PM2 is slimmer and lighter, M2 feels a bit heftier but is taller. I have both in my EDC rotation and I like them both. I'll add the Manix 2 XL to that group too but it is definitely tall. I was carrying my Manix 2 XL today when we went to Thanksgiving dinner with family.

They are somewhat interchangeable but I consider my Manix 2 to be best for work and my PM2 best for EDC.
