Got a PM2 in a trade... not sure if it's real or not. But when I broke it down, the pivot only has one screw side. The other screw is part of the pivot. Is this a tell for a fake? Haven't seen it on all the threads I am looking at.

Thanks for the help.

The pm2 uses a bushing pivot. You almost certainly have a fake.
Pics of the whole knife?

Yikes. Yeah, should be two screws, one on each side that screw into a bushing. No pivot pin as pictured.

Yeah... when I traded for it, I assumed it wasn't real. When I got it, it looked pretty good and could find some of the tells and not others. Wasn't a big loss. Never really like having a fake product but oh well.

What I noticed:
- Jimping is not angled
- No notches on liner
- Etching looks pretty accurate
- Back spacers or brushed and not shiny
- G-10 looks properly shaped
- Text on the blade is parallel to base on the fake instead of angled on the real
- The blade did have a date stamp... 5-12
- And of course, that pivot didn't look right

The lanyard hole standoff look fake. Doesn't look like it has the taper like the real ones do. Maybe I'm not looking at it right??

And the digicamo pattern just doesn't look right to me. I've never seen one like that before

As others have mentioned - the G10 digi-cam is WAY off. The hardware does not look right....lanyard tube is off....the little "nub" of g10 behind the lock is square. This is a bad fake!
