Love my PM2's. I have five altogether. My question is on some the blade drops freely when releasing the lock (which I like for one handed closing) while others do not drop freely. I've tried loosening the pivot screw but it won't budge and must have loctite on it or something. What's the word on this and is there any way to adjust?

To get past the loctite all you need to do is heat it up with a hair dryer and it will eventually break free.

I am not recommending taking it apart but, that is how I have fixed every PM2 that I have had that wouldn't drop freely when unlocked. In every instance I found that there was a spillage of the Loc-Tite that was on the blade and one of the washers. I've done this to 3 PM2's. I took the entire pivot out of the knife and cleaned the blade, washers, everything. Then I put it back together. I didn't remove the lanyard tube, I just pushed the scales apart as you can see in the following pic. After putting it back together, all was perfect. Blade dropped freely when unlocked.

Funny, I was just looking on youtube for PM2 take down vids concerning blade not falling closed freely then I decided to stop in here.
Any special tips or tricks regarding taking them apart as I am going to do this tomorrow.
I just want to clean up the washers and see if I can smooth it up, do I need to just take off one side and would that be the side that doesnt have the lock? Then just take out blade and washers and clean.
