Anyone have any word of another pm2 or para 3 rex 45 coming around any time soon? Sprint or exclusive?

Doubt we'll see another Golden made Sprint in Rex 45, Especially in PM2 and Para 3 platform.

Maybe a Cutlery Shoppe Paramilitary 2 exclusive with different colored scales like they ran with the Para 3?!? Email Jeff at CS to inquire!
There's always the secondary market.

It would be a shame for there to not be a lot more Rex-45 coming. Such stellar properties.

I hope there is more on the way !

I picked up a shaman tree rex on the secondary market and have been using it pretty heavily through the week, this stuff takes a fine edge not bitey feeling but just cuts like a laser

Seems to like a finer edge also

I would love to pick a pm2 rex 45 up. They are asking for like 4 or 5 hundred on a certian website. How much did you pick your tree rex for if you dont mind me asking? I love the wayy that thing looks.

Was a bit over the top but I wanted a rex 45 shaman
Traded a like new benchmade 550-1 and 140

But the shaman came with terotuff scales along with the original wood

I see very few come up for sale. OTOH M4 and K390 are somewhat similar and are easier to find at reasonable prices.

I think the Manix 2 LW in Rex45 is about the perfect work knife for me. The only thing I can think of that would be better (but maybe not better as a work knife) would be a PM2 in Rex45 or K390.

Nice! picked up a used pm2 rex 45. I have k390 already in a pm2. I really love the rex 45 steel. I also love the patina it gets. Its a little different then my k390 and maxamet patinas. Guess i got lucky i have been watching and have only seen a para 3 in rex 45 and the pm 2 i picked up.

Wait, why would you say that?

They generally make sprints or exclusives in 1200 piece runs. Usually they are never made again.

I have seen them repeated in sort of "themes" throughout my short time being a fan of Spyderco. Got an M4 Dodo from back before I was into knives, from 2019, and it was already resurrected. Now it's being made again. All the folks have to do is order it again, and it has happened before from what I've seen, it doesn't shock me to see a run kind of come back... Maybe I am wrong and misinterpreting things, but doesn't it seem a lil hasty to say "Oh, a PM2 in Rex 45? Probably won't happen." ?

I definitely think they should make Millies, PM2 and para 3s again in Rex 45. I think exclusives sometimes get re-released. I just havent really seen them re-release a sprint

Oh, I should have specified... I was talking about exclusives, specifically. I think that's where we mixed up. But, at least one of the Rex 45 PM2s was indeed an exclusive, the copper one. Not sure about that orange G-10 one, might be Cutlery Shoppe, and they bring back exclusives. Just overpaid for a Wharnie PM2 in S30V that I thought was old but was just released.

REX 45 and the Para 2 are a great combination. I have the Cutlery Shoppe exclusive. I see it's currently sold out, but maybe they are getting more in. It's worth asking them. I swapped out the different colored scales on mine for satin finish natural micarta. Looks and feels great now and that steel really performs. In my use, constant carry for about 3 months, it has yet to develop a noticeable patina. I prefer it to the K390 example I have which quickly darkened up and even developed some slight pitting, with about the same level of usage.
