Will swapping out the scales on a PM2 void the warranty from Spyderco? Just tossing the idea around, not too fond of the blurple, but love the S110V blade...

Yes since u r disassembling but i have disassembled and sent items for warranty and they honor it. Dont quote me or take my word for it but i think the rule of "disassembly voids warranty" is geared more towards noobs who dont know what they r doing and in the process of disassembly they damage the knife or dont know how to asswmble it back together.

AGAIN DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, PER THEIR WARRANTY STATEMENT IT DOES VOID WARRANTY

It will, but if the knife is ok and you like another set of scales, go for it!
If you ever need to send the knife in for a repair, it'll cost you $25. Not the end of the world.
Which scales are you thinking of slapping on it??
Here is my s110v PM2 with CF scales.

I agree with Joe, just do it with your choice of scales. Then show us some pics
To me, having the personalized Para2 to use far outweighs any concern I have about voiding the warranty that I'm quite unlikely to ever call on.

Thanks all. It's good to know that if I need a repair I could still send it in and pay a nominal fee.

Steve! If Yura heart is set on gray micarta, hit Steve Ketchen or Eric up.
Both do amazing work!
Believe me, you think you love the Para 2 now?? Personalize it and you'll love it twice as much!

Put it back with red locktite and send it back if you need too. Let them have fun taking it apart har har

be careful of the red locktite on some models. if you strip a screw they won't honor a warranty, because disassembly will void it if you strip screws because of it.
