PM2 Sharpening Choil Mod

This is my second go at the PM2. One thing that really bothered me during my first go around was the traffic jam of sharpened edge/ricasso/finger choil.
Aside from the aesthetics, I am a Wicked Edge user, and you can not get close to completing a cleanly sharpened edge without some major hacks.

Enter a 5/32” chainsaw file and a bit of sand cloth... Some will like the mod, others will not. I for one love it, and it is the first step to making my PM2 a keeper.

Mailman was a bit too late... here is an update with RGT Titanium scales, clip, and lanyard tube. The G10 scales and somewhat randomly placed pocket clip were the other things I did not care for on my first PM2. I think it now plays nicely with my Sebenza 31.

I do the same thing sometimes but use a diamond rod about half that size and not so deep.

The triangle diamond rod from a Sharpmaker works perfect for this (very useful) mod. Not quite as deep as the OP's (but maybe not enough for the WE sharpening paddles either).
