Blown away by Cuscadi (cutom scale divison in germany) the other day, ordered some scales from them on Tuesday, that was ready Thursday(!) and shipped. I have not gotten them yet, but got pictures of them mounted on another pm2. http://www.cuscadi.de/2012/06/28/spyderco-para-military-2-the-lab/ This is going to look SWEET on my black blade pm2!

Btw, did spyderco ever ship a pm2 with black "hardware" as in screws and loop hole? was thinking about how good those scales would look with black screws.

Those are sweet looking! Looking forward to pictures with the black blade.

A few days ago I received an all black PM 2 in the mail. The only parts that aren't black are the liners, blade stop, and the rim of the lanyard hole on both sides of the handle.

They cost 80 euros shipped and with taxes.
oh nice, need to contact spyderco and see if i can buy som all black screws for it then. would look good. and maby the lanyard hole fitting.
Thanks :)

Looks nice.

Yeah, Luke is a great guy to deal with.

Looks a bit like a Wilkins.

Considering Spyderco voids your warrantee if you disassemble one of their knives, I would be surprised if they sent you a lanyard hole.

why do you assume hes trying to get it free under warranty? He said "buy some screws" so perhaps he wants to buy the lanyard hole as well. I don't think the lanyard hole is actually black on the DLC knives but I could be wrong. The only DLC para2 I've seen it looked like the hole was still satin on the edges but almost looked like it had black magic marker on the inside. You could probably just blacken the satin lanyard loop yourself and wouldn't even notice.

Well...I didn't say he was trying to get them "free under warranty". I just don't see Spyderco going against their policy of not allowing the consumer to disassemble the knife.

Falch,

I really like these though I'd rather have them in orange, red or blue. They look a lot like Kevin Wilkins Griptilian scales. I looked on their site at all the pictures of PM2 scales and didn't see these. Do you know what they call them? Did you order them made or did they already have them made?

thallium: well, you are right, they are new as in I custom ordered them as a variant they did not have. it is a combination of the lime/neon/slime green g10, and the pattern on the orange civilian(?) in the gallery.
i realy like how they look, and can not wait to get my hands on them :) if you like the pattern, but not the color i am guessing there is no problem what so ever in changing the color, but keeping the pattern. as i understand, they have plenty of diferent colors and materials available.

Bull: i am realy stoked for them to, hoping to get a set of fresh black hardware for it, i am in dialog with spyderco at the moment :)

Luke just shipped me a set of PM2 scales - I wanted burgundy linen micarta left a little rough for a good grip. Luke sent me the following shots right before he shipped them out. I should have them installed next week and will post more shots. They are going on my 20CP Para2 in place of the grey G10...

The color is a little less neon then i imagined from the images at cuscadi, but in a good way. They beadblasted the scales, making them matte. This is good as the black blade is also matte, making them look real good together. The only thing left to do now, is to get my hands on some black hardware, but the hardware is most likely glossy black...anyone have any good ideas how i can get some hardware matte black?

Mods: maby change the name on this thread to Cuscadi mods/scales if it is going to be a "show your cuscadi knives"

Definitely a sweet combo, green on black. Though I feel foolish asking this, how do you order scales from them? I see complete knives, just not scales only.

The vintage knives are probably my favorite for some reason. Old school look and really grippy to I'd imagine.

most of the knives shown, are just to show the scales..uhm, well i guess the ones in the shop are for sale, but in the gallery yeah. you just send them an email with an inquiry, and take it from there, quite seamless and smooth actualy
