I held off on the Sage 5 because I was waiting for the Para 3. I will get a Para 3, but I was wondering the same thing, I may end up with both so I can decide.

The Sage 5 with CF and the compression lock (not too big a fan of liner locks) looks real nice. However, when I bought my PM2 I decided to add a smaller Spyderco as well and chose the Para 3. I really like the Para 3 and carry it in my rotation, more so that the PM2, but I do like that Sage 5 though.

PM3, I enjoy the feel in hand and ergos on the PM3 better, but they are very comparable and ergos are very subjective.

Aside from the blade shape and clip layout they're very close. It's a toss up between the two for me. I actually like the handle on the Sage 5 a little better but I like the blade shape a little better on the Para 3.
