Greetings!

Hopefully, I'll be moving within a year to the PNW and I'm building a Bushcraft Kit.
I'll be doing lots of camping and I'd like suggestions and opinions regarding knives.
Should I stick to Stainless or... are high carbon blades be a pain to keep? I'll be
camping anywhere from ON the beach to the mountains. And it's a wet environment.

Especially interested in the people who are FROM the PNW and carry a fixed blade.
Feel free to make specific suggestions if you like-- I'm moderately knowledgeable on
steel, grinds, etc.

I lived in Washington from 1998 to 2020(8 years of that active duty stationed at Ft Lewis aka JBLM)
I carried a lot and my go to was usually 3V. Everything from Fehrman to Bradford and I’ve never had an issue with corrosion with some standard cleaning and wiping down after use.
I used my Wander Tactical Godfather(D2) and my Mega Ratweiler(SR101) as a kindling maker when I lived in North Pole, AK and had no issues with rust due again to regular maintenance.
I used to use Marine Tuf cloth to wipe it down but now use Frog Lube paste as a preventative.
Not sure how much this helps but I wish you luck.
