I have been making a small skinner for my wife. It started out to be for myself but,some of us know how THAT goes.Anyway, I get the knife completed all but the edge put on.She now decides that it needs to have a choil to fit her hand better.This knife is already hard as a rock.I tried a file and that was a joke.
I ended up taking a new 220 grit belt and spiral wrapped it around a mop handle. It was a serious pain in the butt, although it did work. Next time She WILL make changes prior to heat treat. I didnt give her to much grief about it for obvious reasons.Ya gotta keep them knife-wifes happy!

I'd use one of the small drum sanders. the ones with 1/4 inch shafts will run in a die grinder. Be sure to polish the blade first and watch the colors, you don't want to ruin the temper....Eric
