Received an Epiphany Outdoor Gear V3 Pocket Bellows, and an N52 Neodymium Pocket Magnet in the mail today.

A photo of both:

Most are familiar with the pocket bellows. If not, here's a video on one:

I had been wanting to get a magnet, mainly for retrieval, say, if a knife or something fell down in a crack in the rocks, e.g., by tying some 550 to it. I came across this N52 Neodymium magnet, that claimed an 18lb strength, and purchased it. A little pricey at $24.95, but would pay for itself if needed.

It's a little bigger than I thought it was, but still a reasonable size:

The lid has a spacer in it, to help reduce the strength, to keep it from sticking to items:

The magnet is press fitted:

Picks up my 1lb BK2 by the point, with ease. I was hoping it would:

Happy with these purchases. Thanks for looking.

Very cool Dubbs thanks for sharing. I like that magnet. I used to carry in my pocket for work a small pocket sized tape measure with a small neodymium glued to the end. For measuring and fishing things out!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks man. I think they'll both come in handy. I wish the pocket bellows would have been slightly shorter. It fits in an Altoids tin, but just corner to corner.

I have been interested in trying one out, they seem very cool. Wonder if you could modify one to fit your tin better.

The pocket bellows is awesome. A buddy of mine has one. I think it is really cool. Been thinking of getting one but...But bellows are everywhere in the wilderness here. It is called a dead Elderberry limb. Just find a smaller diameter piece of Iron Wood or Ocean Spray and use it to drill out the pith of the Elderberry limb. Then you have a natural bellows of any length and diameter you desire. I'm discovering that everything man made can be replicated with the primative arts.

I used my pocket bellows for the first time this evening. Didn't really need it, as it was breezy, but wow, what a difference it makes. Once the small limbs got going somewhat, I blew into it, and they stoked right up, big time.

Haven't had the chance to try mine yet....burn bans all summer.

I keep it in my SAK hiking kit.

The magnet is a great idea, Warrior! Seems like a worthwhile investment.

Nice kit!

That pocket bellows is a great and simple idea, has anyone used their "Baddest Bee" tinder? Looks like pretty high quality stuff.

The pocket bellows is awesome. I used it a few nights ago. Worked great.

Thanks buddy!!! [emoji106] Saw the pencil sharpener idea online someplace and its a great idea for thin curls of tinder. Those are pecan twig curls in the picture.
I think I saw Aaron at GideonsTactical post that video. Need to get one myself.

It works amazingly well. [emoji106]
Dropped one in my virtual shopping cart last night - very affordable, too! Question: does it have to be stored in the container it comes in or is it durable enough to ride in, for example, an elastic keeper strap on a pouch that was originally designed for a pen or flashlight?

No, it doesn't. As a matter of fact, I've been looking for something else to put it in. The end caps are kind of a pain to get off.
