do i need a special wrench or its a standard i just need to find one that fits in?

You need a torx wrench. I picked up a set on amazon for $10, just got it yesterday actually. Promptly aligned the blade on my Spyderco military and took off the clip.

Actually, the budget line (Tenacious, Persistence, Resilience) uses hex heads. However, I am unsure of the size.

Actually, while they look hex, they do use a Torx. When I stripped my Tenacious' pivot screw using a hex, I e-mailed Spyderco and they said to use a Torx.

I think it may be that these Chinese screws are actually hex, but such poor quality that Torx bits fit better.
