Pocket clip finish

Just noticed on my new spy27 Native 5 LW that the pocket clip seems like it has been treated differently than my paramilitary 2, it's less shiny and has kind of a grey look to it. Any ideas what kind of finish it is?

I'm going to guess it maybe has some kind of light blueing or heat treat done to it?
