Anyone have any info when a pocket clip might be available for the tachyon? The fact that it doesn't have a clip is the only thing I find wrong with an otherwise great knife.Any info is appreciated.Thanks.

Just by luck I found that a gap tester for spark plugs can make a great pocketclip...the testers came in a set, connected by a bolt on one end. One of the testers was the right thickness for a pocketclip, and just by luck it fit the tachyon bolt!

A little subtle bending and the rest is history! :D

The clip is absolutely tight, hasn't rotated a bit. The slight additional weight is interesting also!

But what keeps it from rotating?
Michael said he never flips the handle with the clip on it, so aside from the stress of inserting and pulling it out of a pocket, and if he avoids any torsional forces against the clip, it'll never need to rotate. The same will not apply to those that manipulate both handles. A slight detent will then be required to prevent the clip from rotating while completing handle twirls.

Michael: Nice job of bending that gap tester. Those things are pretty well hardened to maintain thickness, so it must have been a little tricky.

The latch pins' been torqued pretty good...to be honest it was quite a surprise as to the absence of rotation...

If you slip a fingernail under the clip and give it a shove it will rotate, but not once has it moved in several weeks of EDC and manipulation. Dumb luck? (once again, better to be lucky than good:) )

Tony: if I had my druthers a detent would be a must! And you're right...what I do with the bite handle is get to the other as quickly as possible! :)
