Pocket Clip on 111mm Rubberized SAK?

I have a SAK with a grip like this one:

It's a rubberized material, not the hard plastic like a basic model. I'd like to attach a pocket clip somehow and I'd like advice.

There's the stick-on type you might use on a 91mm standard SAK, but the spot where you'd attach it has grip/relief to it, meaning it's not a smooth surface, plus I don't know how it would work with the rubberized grip.

I have some pocket clips that should screw in, but I don't know if the handle material will offer enough stability after 100, 1000, 10,000 clips/removals without being countersunk.

Has anyone done thisl, what did you use, and did it work?

Some years back SwissBianco prototyped a clip for the 111mm where he used a small backing plate inside the scale that was threaded to accept the clip screws. Some trimming needed to be done with the plastic on the inside to make it sit flush but it did work.

I tried one out and it did cause the scale to separate and loosen from the liner after repeated use. In hindsight I believe my removing the scale and reinstalling was part of the cause. Anyone who has removed scales from SAKs knows it’s a one and done kind of thing as the plastic weakens from the rivets they “snap” onto. Probably best to be installed on a brand new scale then pressed back on the liner. Or epoxy it back on permanent.

SwissKarry makes a pocket clip that attaches to the key ring boss, but I don’t know if it works with that model.
I have something similar but I don’t care too much for it. It seems to work okay if I’m wearing slacks with thin pockets but it doesn’t work well with thicker jean pockets.

Yeah as soon as you mentioned, my first thought was that it can't work if you have to remove the scales. But if I ever have to replace the scales, I might give it a shot. Scales cost more than a new knife these days, it's crazy.
