pocket clip screw on large sebenza

I believe I stripped the screw on my very used large sebenza. I removed the clip to spring the tension back a bit and when I re-installed it and went to snug it up I must have gone too far and I felt it go loose. The thing is, is that the clip is still very snug due to the tension I put on it so I am not going to take any action on it right now. My question is about the fix. Is the screw more likely to be stripped or is the frame possibly stripped? I figured some one else on the forum may have had this happen so I thought I would ask. Thanks:confused:

Pretty much can only tell what is stripped by removing it and examining it.

That sucks.

I'm not an expert, but that won't stop me from chiming in. . . .

I'm fairly certain that titanium is softer than steel, so I would guess that the screw is in better shape than the threads in the hole that takes the clip are. If it was me, I would send it to CRK and have them re-thread the hole and put a new screw/clip in for you. While you're at it, you may as well have the blade refinished.

Chris' prices are usually pretty reasonable for such things, so at least give them a call and ask.

Good luck.

Id send it in. If you stripped the threads, whats holding it on there could possibly give easily and you could lose your knife. Give CRK a call and im sure the will help
