Hey guys, I have been trying to take off the pocket clip on my Microtech Socom Delta - bought the driver bit from BladeHQ and everything, and I've tried WD40 and heat but nothing seems to loosen up the pocket clip screw. I can't use an impact driver or drill out the screw because I am afraid of damaging the knife, and would like the option to reattach it if necessary. Any ideas on what to do?

^^ This on my benchmade 3550SBK, sent it back for a spring replacement and when it was returned to me the clip was on slanted (hard to describe) and STUCK on there

My question would be how much heat, and how. I've found that a soldering iron held on the screw for a good long while will make a huge difference. If that doesn't work, I think you're left with sending it to Microtech.

I'd contact MT, tell them what's going on, and see if they can loosen it up for you. I know it'll suck having to send the knife in and wait, but there's no sense in taking the chance of messing up such a pricey knife.
