I'm in a search for pocket clip sources but I haven't had any luck. I like the little model 24 clip from knifekits or any sort of deep carry, fold over, 2 screw design. So far as I can tell, no one but them makes one like that on the cheap. I don't want titanium or anything else like that, just a dead simple fold over. I have considered making my own from wire and have experimented but at the moment I just need a source until I can get something worked out. I found one supplier (and I forget who now) selling basic steel clips for like $1.60. That's ideal but they are the kind of standard 3-screw type you see on a lot of knives. And as a bonus, I'd really like them to work with #4 screws rather than #2, but I can deal. I'd even be down for buying from a member but I think it might be unreasonable for me to ask for $2.00 clips. If not, awesome. I'll take a bunch of em. I figure this is one of those things where I can't know if I don't ask.

So the reason the knifekits clips aren't satisfying me is they only take #2 screws and they are more $ than many of their other designs simply because they come with screws - screws that I can't use for my particular project and they haven't answered my e-mail about getting the clips without the screws.

I think this is a classic case of "you can't always get what you want". I may be wrong, but I haven't seen many aftermarket clips out there besides what you already mentioned and the "lowrider clips".

May I ask what you need the clip(s) for? Are you replacing a clip or making a folder?

Email benchmade, ask for contego or adamas clips in black or satin. They will oblige, FOR FREEEEEE!

Just do what I do... when I get tired of using the same pocket clips on my projects, I shop Ebay for cheap Chinese folders that have clips that I like. I salvage the clips, reshape and flame color/polish/coat if I feel the need, and then use the other parts for experimenting with. For like $6 I get the pocket clip I want and lots of cheap little goodies (lock, scale, blade, etc.) to practice on.

That's the impression I've been getting too from my searches. It's going on card wallets like this one:

I need a number of them so I think I'd feel like I was taking advantage.

This is a good idea too. I have played with a number of those knives already but I would really like an American product for this if I can.
