Pocket clip tolerances

So as with anything CRK the tolerance held for the pocket clips is extremely tight and it's even quite difficult to get the clip back on the milled hole evenly.

Has anyone else experienced this before? I took the clip off for pocket sheath carry but now the clip is offset and I don't want to strip the titanium screwing hardened steel with the clip not sitting in right.

Namaste,

David

I have never had that issue. My only advise would be to just get the thread of the pocket clip screw started, then you can place the clip in the right spot while slowly tightening the screw down the rest of the way.

I will try this tonight. Thanks for the input.

I've had to hone the sides and back of the clip before to get it to fit without prying it back in. I've used fine sand paper and a stone to lightly smooth the edges down.

Take apart the knife. Put the locking slab in a cup of very hot water, and put the clip in a cup of ice water.. Let sit for a few minutes then reassemble. This has worked for me in other situations. Might work in this case.
