Pocket clips

I've been carrying my Brad Duncan Whiplash for a while. It's got a big pocket clip, and I've been especially aware of it.

Well yesterday it "reached out and grabbed" the refridgerator door. Put a 2" scrape down the outside edge. Damn I hate that!

Looking forward to getting my modified TnT back. For whatever reason, that clip has never snagged on anything. In the mean time, I think I'll carry my Boa.

My current carry knife is a Cold Steel Voyager and I've never had a problem with the clip catching on anything. I like having my knife right there. I do like that sheath in your pic, though. Where'd you get it? It looks handmade-did you make it?

REALLY nice looking sheath there. Would love to know who made it. Very simple and clean. Wouldn't mind having one or two like that myself.

That is a Gary Graley G2 handmade leather sheath of the highest quality. Unfortunately, Gary has decided not to make sheaths for awhile. If and when he does start making them again, I will have an order in for a few.

You and me both Dave! I was already thinking of one sheath I wanted, then he stops production and suddenly I can think of three I want!

The pocket clip on my Benza has caught a couple of times, mostly when I'm trying to squeeze through a space I shouldn't orta!!!

One time it was a doorframe, and those don't give too easily!! Ended up bending it back into shape myself, and it's been fine ever since.

I carry IWB with a pocket clip (various knives including Sebs, Spydercos, CRKTs, etc.) and never had a problem scraping or tearing up anything. I'm curious why don't more people carry in their waist bands? The knife hides better, and it never hurts anything.

That is a nice sheath though...
