I often change out the knives I carry during the day for whatever I might be doing (and because I can). This morning, I had a G10 Foliage Green Dragonfly 2 in my pocket. This evening, I swapped that out for a Manix 2 LW in translucent blue to go along with me during my exercise. Tonight, I swapped that out for an Urban LW K390 because I am around the house and this suits my needs.

Do any of you swap out your knives?

I tend to have a designated work knife, then i switch it out in the evening when i get home, or on the weekends. My work knives can sometimes get abused, so i try to keep the others 'pretty'.
I also swap out depending on where im going as well, and for different things i might encounter.

I have certain knives I use at work and I usually switch to something different once I'm home.

Sometimes on weekends or weeknights I change knives a few times just because I enjoy carrying and using something different.

I usually switch at least once a day. Could be from the weather, the type of work I'm doing, whether or not I'm going for a motorcycle ride. Lots of factors seem to decide on which knife I have in my pocket.

My mini Ritter tends to be the one that stays there the most, though. It's my "everything" knife, haha.

I carry smaller knives at work, partly because of knife laws, and then switch out when I get home. I carry a small muskrat, barlow, native 5, and/or mini-grip for work (different pockets, coats, and so on). At home I regularly carry a trapper in a pocket slip and then a CS broken skull for outdoors work but I have a millie on the way to compete for that spot (which also includes hikes and trail clearing work mixed with larger blades/axes).

An FRN chapparal may end up in the work rotation and I had a serrate H1 dragonfly for a while when I worked more in warehouses and wanted something small in a back pocket that was easy to grab and pocket when crouched low like getting stuff off of a pallet, especially shrink wrap.

Mini-grip and native 5 are the 2 that I have around the most and transfer between pockets but the rest pretty much stay in their designated pockets or uses so I know they're there when I need them. Most coats and vests have a knife clipped in their pocket and often a pen and/or flashlight.

Absolutely. Work, not at work and "night on the town" are my usual reasons to change.
Today I'm going straight from work to birthday dinner with better half.

Today, I carried an Urban LW K390. I just love that knife. I was helping out with a renovation on a building owned by a friend and that little knife was just the thing for the kind of stuff I was doing. Later, company came over and so I dropped a Manix 2 LW into my pocket (never trust people you do not know really well). You have to have the right knife for the job.

I carry a Chicago at work in my cargo pocket since a visible knife is a no no. I carry the same Chicago or occasionaly a endure instead of the Chicago lately an enuff is along with the folder foredc.

Today (Saturday) we are celebrating Thanksgiving. I think I am going to carry a carbon fiber Chaparral. I have an Urban LW K390 in my pocket now.

What did you folks carry for Thanksgiving?
