I love my two Sebbies but the clips are taking their toll on my pockets. Since "Search" has been denied me I can't look up the answer; I know it's been covered here previously. I someone could point me to the thread I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

Larry, remove the clip, bend it v.e.r.y. s.l.i.g.h.t.l.y. outward, reattach it. Now it will just barely hold your pocket, and not abrade it excessively.

Warning: don't blame me if it falls off while you're traversing a swamp ... there's a reason it clips tightly. I don't know why yours is eating your pockets. I never have that problem, even on summer-weight clothes, and I like my clips tight.

I've found that the newer style pocket clips don't eat the pocket that much... perhaps if you have the old style, you should upgrade!

I have to agree with Humpty. The new clips seem pretty good. No matter how good the clip there will be some wear. It's a good excuse to get some new pants. The new clip works very well for me with no excessive pocket noted. My small seb is with me 24/7.

my seb born 9/11/2000 with new style clip eats up my pants pretty good. It seems about right considering that any time anything rubs *anything* it wears it a little... and I DO take my seb out somewhat excessively... roll it around in my hand and slide it back in place... maybe a couple times a day NOT COUNTING *actual* use/maint.
I imagine that if I were to just rub it back and fourth on the lip of my pants it would frey somewhat after... say... 200 strokes?

jeez.. I think I might not have enough to think about.

I have to agree with Elvislives and recomend you contact Gary Graley aka G2. His sheaths are great and there is no way the knife could "slip out". Here's mine
