I recently retired my LM Wave for edc use due to the bulkiness and the fact that it had to take the place of a a big folder in my particular carry style. I have since moved to carrying a Juice S2 and a Paramilitary 2 along with a few other edc items which aren't relevant to this post. The one item that I miss more than anything is the outstanding (perfection IMO) combo file on my Wave. In a perfect world the S2 would come with a combo file... but enough dreaming and back to reality. I could easily find a place to put something as low profile as a file. Preferably something that folds up or has a little pouch. Any suggestions?

The first thing that comes to mind is to remove the file from your Wave and try to find a pouch for it.

I'm wondering if the Leatherman with the titanium handles has a replaceable file. I know it takes replaceable saws.

Both good ideas... although I'd rather not resort to scavenging from my wave just yet. I still us it, just don't edc it. I think ill call leatherman tomorrow and ask if they sell replacements. I could always make a little pouch or foldable handle for it.

Eze-Lap sells diamond hones about the size and shape of credit cards, or you can remove the thin diamond pads from the plastic handled diamond hones and glue them to another surface, like the back of a small file...

That is definitely something worth looking into... fantastic idea!

Thanks a ton! I am going to order on of these for sure! Only 5 bucks as well. I may need to figure out a way to secure a handle to it. Hopefully its usable without. That would fit nicely in my wallet!

Since the Super Tool 300 doesn't come with a diamond coated file, I carry a Surge replaceable file in its plastic slip in the rear pocket of the ST sheath. Sometimes it rides along with my Juice. It has come in handy a number of times and, for my purposes, useable without a handle. Whether you can go commando depends on what you need to file.

Good to hear that it works for you like that. I'd much rather be able to carry it like that. Ordered one this morning.
