I'd like to find A decent pocket fixed blade, and was wondering if anyone could recommend one?

A lot of "neck knives" would fit the bill nicely. Are you looking for a particular edge, grind, material? More importantly what do you dislike? No point in offering opinions to only have you say, "Oh I don't want that". :)

How much are you willing to spend? The Graham brothers Razel comes in a great little pocket sheath and they make more traditional blades as well, but the razel has a more affordable mid-tech edition.

If you use a static cord, any small sheath knife can work in-pocket.

If you don't mind convex edges, the Bark River Blackwater Boot Knife is a great choice. I saw one a while back here on the forum and it looked so good I picked one up. I was not disappointed. Handy, sharp, fits easily in my jacket pocket with it's kydex sheath.

Cheers,
Jon

Jon,

Are you running around with a concealed fixed blade? Naughty, naughty:p:cool:

Not a Razel but a Pocket Kukri... shown here with a Spyderco Temperance...

Arno Bernard Jr. makes a really nice small knife. He has a store on e-bay. I picked one up for under $100. Bark River makes several nice small knives. The A.G. Russell Woodswalker is a really nice little knife that comes with a pocket sheath and is only $20. Dan Koster, one of the makers who sells here on blade forums, has a small design that works well in the pocket. I believe it is his K5. If you keep an eye on the Knife Maker's For Sale forum here you'll see some pocket-size fixed blades for sale every now and again. I think there are a couple there right now, and the prices are usually very reasonable.

Contact Leu Custom Knives. He'll make you a little pocket FB for less than $150. And are they sharp. I have two on order. HH!

BRKT Mini or Micro Canadian. By far the best pocket fixed blade I know.

I have a few favorite pocket fixed blades. The one I am and have been carrying is a Charles May Fireant, as I find it to be the perfect pocket fixed blade for me. The other ones I have and love, are a Tom Krein TK 2 & a Nemesis Knives Arch Ally. Here are pix: The first one is the Fireant.

+1 for these....or the BRKT OMF. I find the wharncliffe blade of the OMF extremely useful for everyday tasks. The sheaths these come with have a beltloop which when cutoff, allows the knife and sheath to fit nicely in any pocket.

Another vote for the Graham Brothers here. I have a Stubby Spearpoint from them that I love.

Also check out Barry Dawson's Pocket Fixed Blade.

A less expensive alternative might be the Krein Dogfish from CRKT.

If you are looking for a lot of options in a custom. Don Cowles would be another maker whose work should be considered.
