Pocket Fixed Blades

Joliet Jeff posted a little while back asking who carried an EDC fixed blade. I have for at least the past two years, coupling the small fixed blade with an SAK or Camper knife in the other pocket. I typically wear dress pants to work most days and have carried all of these RFP, with a bandanna in the pocket as well. The bandanna keeps the knife from "printing" and is neither bulky nor uncomfortable.

Here's most of the pocket blade lineup:

From left to right:

JK Tin Knife
Boker Plus Krein Pocket Bowie
Kabar Sidekick
Cold Steel Pendelton Mini Hunter
RAT Izula
JK Fieldmate (KYTurkey design, one of my favorites and has seen the most pocket time)
JK Anniversary EDC (really liking this one as well)

The fixed blade works very well as a pocket knife and is actually much quicker to deploy than a folder. Anyone else partial to these wee fixed blades?

(Sorry about the pic, my camera is down)

I have been carrying a smaller fixed blade and a sak most of the time myself for about a year, I think it's winning combination, although sometimes it's nice to switch out for a folder (I've actually gotten rid of most of them now though)

Sorry for all the pictures, i'll have to get one with all the smaller ones together sometime

Same here on the folder. I got the Manix recently and have been alternating between that and the EDC or the Krein. The Manix is bigger than both!

cool, I like the look of the manix, but it's a BM 705 that I use mostly these days, have a couple of others (think i have 3 left now not including sodbusters) and they don't really get used much these days, even my leek stays home atm

I'm picture mad these days :)

Ok, I'll play. This is my favorite type of knife. John is making me a pocket sized version of his Canadian Belt knife, which I can't wait for. Until then I've got these:

At the very least, for me, it's gotta be a good fixed blade in a pocket sheath. Here are some of the ones I like the best. First picture is a rig we made for my mother, it took a while but she getting the bug too! Below are my EDC pocket carry knives. Not pictured but not forgotten, faithfully pulling sheath forming duty are: Scrap Yard 311, bk11, bk14, and kabar piggyback(probably the thinnest knife/sheath profile and most indispensable of blades for concealment in dress clothes).
