Pocket knife at Washington Nationals game?

Hi all. I'm in DC for a wedding this weekend, and we're going to a Nationals game tonight. Their website says no weapons, but doesn't mention pocket knives. Are there any locals that go to Nats games who know whether I can or can't get in with one? I'm not really thrilled with riding back to our hotel on the metro without something in my pocket, but obviously it does me no good to bring it if they're going to make me toss it at the gate.

Anybody know whether I'll get hassled?

I live right next to D.C., in virginia, and D.C. laws are strict. My understanding is that " 3" or under" for folders is okay, but no fixed blades. The current issue of Blade magazine mentions D.C. as one of the most repressive regimes. I feel comfortable carrying 3" blades, such as small Sebenzas, 3" XM-18, etc., but I don't flash them around. And have never had a problem. Don't know about the game; haven't been lately.

The knife is just a cheap 3" Gerber folder, so I'm not worried about carrying it around DC, but I hate to get denied access to the game or have to toss it to go in. But, I'd rather not leave it in the hotel if I don't have to.

Why not call the stadium and ask? I wouldn't risk the fun of being on vacation or a ball game to carry a $20 knife.

There must be a million places outside a ballpark where you could easily hide a pocketknife and pick it up after you leave.

I try to limit as much as possible how much time I spend without a knife in my possession. You just never know when you might need one.

Very surprised there was no search. I was down for a skins game in Dec and they had detectors at the gate.
