Well y'all asked and here it is. It's heading to Virginia to Kevin's home. I hope you enjoy it.

1084, from Aldo, whooped into submission and a knifelike shape by moi.
400x hand rubbed finish
Red Deer Stag scales, just dyed where I sanded them down
Copper pins and tubing, filed to match the stag
Black Liners, tapered tang
6 7/8" overall
2 3/4" cutting edge

Critiques are always welcome, thanks for taking the time to look at another one of my simple knives.

Edited to add: You can always pull the fob off and use it for fly fishing in a survival situation :p

That looks like a completely wonderful package. Alot of thought into the materials matching says I  - the Copper sets off the Dark Stag and the Lanyard is a great touch.

I have a pocket fixed blade that I carry from an old time Maker and I think there really are quite a few Knife Knuts that would like to enjoy this type of blade!

I say make a couple more in this line!

I'm almost afraid to post pictures of them.... I get an order for a couple every time I do :D I guess the predictions for 2009 about EDC/EDU knives is taking hold now. :p

I forge these as warm-ups for my other knives. They're fun and get the arm warmed up. I like to make small knives, sure a bowie or chopper/camper/ninja death monkey knife is fun, it's not practical and I'd rather make knives people can use.

Thanks for the kind comments. :o

I have been looking for a well made little fixed-blade to carry in the back pocket.
This is just the right size and quite a looker too.

Really turned out nice and I'm looking forward to getting it.

Thanks Will. :)

Well Aldo, I'm trying to make some money to buy some bigger 1084 :p

An iffen I wuz paken steal insted uv beetin steal I wud onli mayk too a yeer two. :p

Thanks again for your comments, tune in next week on the Aldo and Will show when you might see Aldo being arrested for anvil neglect! :D

Looks good Will. That size and shape makes for a fine user in my book any day.

Thanks for letting us have a look.

Kevin is getting a real winner with that one. I really like a pocket-carry fixed blade, and that's the nicest one I've seen.

I received the knife today and the best way to describe it is a great little utility knife at a great value.

Though it's small enough to easily carry in the pocket, the better than 4" handle allows for a good grip to give the control and power you could expect from a medium size hunter. The handle shape allows for the forefinger to rest comfortably against the choil.
The blade is razor sharp and stout with it's approx. 1/8" thick 1084 and full belly.

The photo doesn't show the full beauty of the stag and how nice a job Will did meticulously filing the copper pins and lanyard tube to follow the bark of the stag.

Yep, a beautiful little handmade knife that I will be proud to use and carry.

Thank you Will.

that makes two of us:thumbup:

That's a real nice utility Will! Looks like a lot of thought went into the shape! I bet it's handier than a pocket on a T-shirt. :)

looks nice, I have a custom w/ stag handles and a copper bolster, love your filed copper/stag combo, good work, the whole package.
