Yes it's animated, whatever
Hank hooks up his son with a boy scouts group led by a sheeple
Hank in the end leads a buncha scouts.
The scouts ask him, we got a buncha sticks what can we make that's fun with them?
Hank replies How about a fishing spear? You'll need this and pulls out a pocketknife

Cut scene to credits and you hear Hank saying "Now to open a pocketknife you must.."
Bobby "OWW"
Hank "::sigh, might want to keep you hand over your head"

Watched it myself, looked like a bigger slipjoint with blue handles, imagine to match the uniforms such as with the blue Scout Victorinox models. That episode really catered to the audience, I liked how they portrayed Hank's mildly modern beliefs that were still conservative. He hates Bobby's games, but doesn't see them as pure evil.

I really hope it doesn't get canceled, king of the hill is one of the only good animated shows on now a days.

I saw the show too and I believe the creator was an eagle scout and in the OA (I think thats where he got order of the straight arrow though). I think that a major point in the episode was to show the creator's dissaproval of the sissyfication (instead of a more offencive term) that is taking over scouts right now. I am a scout and I'm supprised at how PC and sissyfied the boyscouts are becoming. I know some scouts who dont even bring a knife on campingtrips, mostly older scouts who joined before me though, I'm changing it with the younger scouts :). On the knife subject I laughed when the guy brought out the rubber knives and was glad to see the real knife in use at the end. I was also glad to see Hank take the kids out and do real scout stuff. I say to hell with safe environments, and just let us boys be boys, within reason of course. Afterall what is life without risks and what better way is there to learn then by getting hurt through your mistakes?

Unfortunatley, I saw a news story online that says it will be cut off mid season next season. No finale or anything. I'm bummed. They need to put out the rest of the seasons on DVD! I have 1-6, but they haven't made 7-12 (i think it's up to twelve now)

We once had a youth minister who put this disclaimer at the bottom of every outing notice:

"If you don't get hurt, it's not our fault!"

.

Hank Hill is the ultimate knife father on TV. He is regularly using his knife in responsible manner, heck he even saved Bobby's life on a raft with a leatherman-esque tool on one show. I have heard that ABC or someone is trying to buy the rights to the show as they have another of his shows upcoming and they want to have the 2 back to back.

Please stop saying sheeple, please. 99% of the people that say sheeple are in fact sheeple themselves. Do you watch FOX news? Do you read magazines? Do have a job? Do you pay Federal Income Tax? Do you own a pair of Nikes? Do you believe that all people are the....

Nevermind.

Cotton Died????????

Yeah. Season 12, episode 5 "Death Picks Cotton". It aired on Veteran's Day and Remembrance Day for all the veterans. A little bit of information that I remember from it...

SPOILERS!!!

Cotton was hospitalized after eating a shellfish and had an allergic reaction, causing an infection to his esophagus. That's what he died from.
Hank's last words to Cotton were: "I don't love you" after Cotton rejected Hank's love. Cotton died right after Peggy told him off and said that she wished he'd live forever so he could see the hell he's made for himself. Then he dies; seems like Cotton died just to spite Peggy LOL.
Hank comes back into the room after Cotton died, and Peggy said that Cotton's last words were to tell Hank that he loves him; she lied. (Cotton's real last words were "don't ya know?" after Peggy wishing he'd live forever.) Cotton died on November 11th; Veteran's Day.

Cotton was 84 when he died (in a third-season episode, Hank says Cotton is 74 years old).

Neither Cotton's wife (Didi) or his other son (G.H.) were seen in the episode.

I thnk the show is being cancelled because Fox did a survey and found only sheeple watch it.

Of course, once the news was out, sheeple came to all the gun/knife forums to complain about the term "sheeple" and how it's so misused. They just want the show to stay on.

I grew out of watching cartoons in puberty, got married, served 22 years in the Reserves, and worked in a lot of retail over the years. I can testify to the fact,

THERE ARE SHEEPLE.

They are out there, and they usually have an attitude only the government can be right, and since they are in authority by their simple existence, you better do what they say, because they think everybody else are sheeple. Just not them.

Anyway, it's obvious the sheeple at Fox are killing off the series. That's ok, I saw it once, and it was all about a bunch of sheeple. Not my kind of show. They don't carry knives much.

You must be thinking of a different show, Hank is very into solving problems for yourself and not relying on the government. Oh and knives have been used responsibly in many episodes.

Yup, including the episode where he saves his (brother?) from a burning car.

"Sheeple"- fine, you think of a better term then. It's meaning is pretty much clear in this context and on this forum
