Benchmade recently came out with a neat little knife. I liked it a lot so I bought two. One as a user and one to keep nice for my Axis lock collection.

Anyway I have been using one for EDC for a while now. I have reprofiled the edge thinner, polished the blade some with 1500 grit paper and stropped the edge. Its been carried and used a fair amount. The G10 and hardware are starting to take a polish from use and friction with my pocket and hands.

Anyway I like the way it looks better than the brand new one. If I were to sell them the new one would draw more interest and money. Thats to bad. The used one is the better knife.

Subjective opinion of course, but I prefer the satin sheen of the factory blade. I owned the HK and, really liked the blade - the finish and, the profile. I am thinking about getting another one. Seems like every time I sell a knife I regret it.

I'm with you BigJim.

I never really get to liking a knife till a little pocket wear and my work habits really make it mine. Put a little character on it and a little life into it. I take good care of them too, don't get me wrong, but yeah that knife shows the kind of good honost wear and tear that makes mine look and feel right to me.

I like the polished look. I hate bead blasted blades. Scratches show up too easily. How long did it take to do that? Did you have to remove the blade?
