I just noticed my county comm pry bar is starting to get a little rusty. Should I be worried about this causing problems with the tool over time or is it going to be cosmetic and give it character? Just wondering if I need to take action against it or if its a non issue. Thanks

I would not worry about it. Plenty of my outdoor tools have been rusting for decades.

Those little prybars are like $5 anyway, so replacing it every few decades is not that bad. ;)

That's pretty much what I was thinking. I may run a cloth with CLP over it in the morning but I really don't want to have to take the paracord wrap off to clean/treat it.

You could cut the cord off, sand it all down (nice satin finish), and give it a quick dip in vinegar, then rewrap it.

^ That would work, but patinas can still cause pitting over time. I say you clean off the rust and put to Tuff-Cloth on it, should stop any rusting. Or you could buy a titanium pry, I know boker makes one.

Or just give it a shot of paint or some other sealant. It's not like you're cutting your food with it. :)

I vote for Tuff Cloth. I put it on my 2 pry bars and large Breacher from CC. Still look good, even after lots of use.

What you need is some magic in a can: Fluid Film. Use your Google-Fu. Edumicate yourself ! :D
