Okay, you Buck Knuts. Has anyone come up with a pocket sheath for the Mini Alpha? The Mini doesn't seem far off dimensionally from many of the far pricier "pocket" customs growing in popularity these days.

Great idea. Maybe you could post this in the General and/or Shop Talk forums too, where some talented sheath-makers hang out.

The Mini doesn't seem to get much attention, but it should. I hope I'm wrong, but I predict that after it is discontinued in a few years, it will be "discovered" (like the 560 was) and everyone will be hounding e-bay or wherever to get one.

Agree. I have no idea why there are so few people mentioning about this great knife. Currently I am lusting over one too. :D Great value, great quality and great steel (Bos treated ATS-34).

My impression is that hunting-type knife designs in general don't get much attention here, which is ironic if you think about it since that's one the oldest knife functions there is. Prices for them are all over the place, but Bestknives @ $56.95 is the lowest I've ever found (got mine there).

I think that ppl are more into "tactical" knives, in comparsion with hunting knives. I am cool on that since I am a fan of both types. Speaking of the mini alpha, though, loodieboy, did u find anyone who make or have access of quality pocket leather sheath for this knife yet? Pls advice cuz I would like to get one too. Personally I think that for this knife, the only sheath material that goes well with its style is leather. Kydex just don't click with it (probably because of its wood handle slabs). Nor it would look good in Plastic/G10 Scales, IMHO.

Tok: I didn't find one already in existence. It looks like a homegrown project of selecting someone to create one.

Thanks for the plug Bob!(had to check your email address to see who you were,LOL).

Loodieboy, take a look at the link X posted, the pocket sheath for the balisong with clip. Once my gold membership takes effect(paid yesterday) I'll be able to post some pics.
