I am in the process of a trade to finally get a Patch. Woohoo... Now my problem is finding a sheath... I havent seen the type of sheath Im looking for anywhere and I was hoping for some suggestions... What I'm looking for is this... a plain pocket sheath that is small as possible for pocket carry. I was thinking a fold over with not super heavy leather that comes up about half way up the handle... Sheaths like KSF seem to always have an extra pocket which I don't want... what do you guys think? Have you seen anything like what Im describing? Thanks much in advance.

Yes, Bud aka JouFuu aka Bonafide on the forums makes them. Check out his sales threads to see what I am talking about. Typically (unless work gets in the way) he posts his sheaths for sale around 10:00 AM CST and also has previews on Instagram.

OK, Ive only seen a couple of his sales threads and Ive never noticed a plain pocket sheath... I should mention I'm looking for one without a belt loop or clip...

Checkout the Where to find Sheaths sticky at the top of the forum. It lists sheath makers that specialize in making sheaths for your Fiddlebacks. Some of them will take special orders and make exactly what you want.

I have read that and I plan to contact a few makers but I was more curious if people had an opinion on what Im describing... maybe plus and minus... there is obviously a reason there aren't many of these types of sheaths around... Im sure part of it is the patch is bigger than most want to pocket carry.

i like the wider bottom of the KSF sheaths. it keeps the knife from changing its orientation in my pocket
i've been known to carry my BC Jr in the back pocket of jeans

I have quite a few sheaths like the one you describe. I just call them pocket slips.

Rick Lowe makes a great pocket slip style sheath; I personally own 2-3. They are lightweight, durable and the quality is exceptional.

If your'e looking for a sheath with a clip then I would suggest trying to snag one from Bud's sales threads.

Bud and Rick both do excellent work. The pocket sheath I use most right now for a patch is a JoFuu ISP with a clip.
