What's ironic is that this guy is largely a product of his outdated tooling. He obviously has the talent, but his methods for approaching problems and the way he thinks about things had to have been developed by the constant challenge of finding a way to make his lathe do what he needed it to. If he had a bunch of modern machine tools he wouldn't have to put so much thought into each project.
