Hi all,
My wife's Grandpop is turning 80 yrs. old in May and we want to get him a nice gift for his b-day that he can enjoy.
He collects, though not real seriously, pocket watches from flea markets. We thought that we would maybe buy him a nice piece (new) but we are hesitent as neither one of us are hardly timepiece experts.
He is ex-military (both Army-WWII & retired Navy). We are hoping that there is maybe some company/maker out there that produce traditional pocketwatches that maybe incorporate military themes. He is a very proud veteran that hardly speaks of his service. We would like to combine both the b-day gift while still being able to honor him at the same time for his service to this country. We will, however, not only limit our search to just military styles but all traditional pocketwatches in general.
I'm posting this here as I'm hoping to get some advice from some of you. Please feel free to recommend, without regard to price, as we would like to view all suggestions.
