After a long HOT summer here I'm finally getting some things done again, and today I put the finishing touches on this little guy. It's a fun little pocket fixed blade with a short 3 finger grip, tapered tang, and slim scales for light weight and low profile carry in the ambidextrous pocket sleeve. Comments/questions/critiques are welcome and appreciated; thanks for looking!

-3/16" 1080, full flat grind
-Tapered tang
-Clay coated, hand sanded to 1500x, and hand polished to show hamon
-SS mosaic pin and thong tube
-Stabilized (Burl Source) Redwood Burl scales
-3.25" Blade, ~6" OAL
-Dark brown hand stitched and wet molded Wickett & Craig Pocket Sleeve

I still haven't quite figured out how to take good, reliable photos of the hamon (please excuse the bit of lint on the blade in the last one )

Thanks Brian!

A few more (hopefully) better photos I snapped quickly just now as the sun is starting to set:

Very nice. Beautiful work

My buddy and I were just asking ourselves why we had never heard of a three fingered knife, and I forged out some blanks to make some to see if we had stumbled into something semi-original.

Damn you. And how dare you?

:D

Nice, I love how you got it thick where it needs to be thick and thin where it don't need to be thick. And that burl is awesome!

Nice little knife. Couldn't ask for cleaner work. I'll take #33. :D

Thanks Pat, I appreciate it!

My apologies, sir!

Thanks William. I've had this redwood for a long time, but for some reason this is the first time I've gotten around to using it. I discovered that not only do I love the look of the stuff, but it smells fantastic too (even stabilized)!
