Hey guys,

Heres a, sort of, design in process build. Made this one with an "office carry" type of mindframe. I work in a govt. office, so discreet and sheeple friendly is a good thing. I really love the EZ open pattern slipjoints, but wanted to incorporate that into something that locks.

This one is a prototype, the design has a few bugs to work out, its very smooth and lock up is solid, there are just a few things I want to do differently on the next one.

The large finger choil was an after the build type of thing and I wasnt sure about it, I'm still not, but it actually works really well for holding the knife allowing you to get a full grip on the handle and I like the way it matches the EZ open cutout.

Just something to carry in the pocket for boxes, mail, etc...Nothing fancy here, just a plain ole pocket knife I think it has some potential. Next one will have full ti scales, non locking and locking with likely a stainless blade most likely.

What'cha think? Love it? Hate it?

Specs:

Blade is 3/16" tumbled 1095
.125" contoured Ti lock scale
Black G10 non-lock scale
Ti backspacer
S/S Hardware throughout

BL: 2 3/4" with a 2 1/4" cutting edge
HL: 3 1/4"
OAL: 6"

Thanks for checking it out!

Really nice man , cool collection ...

Thanks!

I should have mentioned...there is enough space to tie a lanyard onto the backspacer without interferring with closing or getting cut by the blade. But future models will likely have a lanyard hole, as well as a nail nick as soon as I get a dovetail cutter for the mill.

I really like it! Nice profile. I really like the eaqual end shape, as it looks professional and office friendly. The finger choil really adds something to this knife and I would definately keep it. You still have plenty of blade at 2 1/4" with the choil.
I'm not a liner lock person but this is the first one I have seen in a more "traditional" look and I really love it!

Really unique design, clean and uncluttered. Everything you need and nothing you don't.

Very nicely done. Simple and clean. I totally get the office mentality with knives, I used to sit behind a government desk as well, but I always found it funny that the sheeple who frown on knives in the work place are the ones wrestling with scissors or pens and other things to do what a knife is supposed to do. When I would offer to help them out and they gave me a dirty look for just having a knife at all, I would make a mental note to never offer again, but would always have a band-aid in my pocket for when they cut themselves with their own stupidity!

I personally liked a wharncliff blade for office/desk use and a nice long false edge for opening envelopes and stuff that didn't need a sharp edge, paper can dull a knife pretty quick.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the feedback and compliments!

Xander...next one is set to have a wharnie blade;)

I like the way it looks and think it is becoming a great office tool. Since its for the office, what about using 1/8"? Make it a little thinner. Or do you need the heft for cutting through stuff like the heavy plastic band on paper boxes?

Nice!
If you want it to be real sheeple friendly, you might want to consider an other colour than black.
Some sheeple find themselves confirmed that all knives are black and bad

nice knife! looks like a swiss army type handle and ive never met anyone that disapproved of swiss army unless they were super nazi's and not even swiss army was aloud.
