I ordered the sheath from this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1003773-Sheaths-All-SOLD
First off I'd like to say I received the sheath very quickly and the transaction went smoothly.
Second, I think Pocketknifesheaths and I both need to get a better camera because our pictures do NOT do his work any justice!
Reverse side:
The craftsmanship is evident all over. The leather and buckskin both feel very nice. The construction and stitching look excellently done and the tooling adds a nice touch. The color is very nice as well, it's a rich brown mahogany. The sheath holds up to a 4" single or double bladed slipjoint, and as you can see my BF 2012 Traditional sits in there perfectly. It's new so it's still somewhat tight but it'll loosen up with use. If you notice any marks on the buckskin that's from me, by the way.
Most importantly it does what a sheath is supposed to do: It feels good on the hip, stays in place, and it looks great. The sheath has good retention so the knife isn't slipping out or bouncing around.
I'm very pleased with the sheath. Normally I don't sheath carry my slipjoints but the BF 2012 is just too nice for me to scuff up against my keys or loose change. I also have a full size Case Prime Stag Trapper that fits very nicely in the sheath:
If you're looking for a custom slipjoint sheath definitely send Pocketknifesheaths a PM or email! These sheaths are too nice for people to not be using.
