Just something cool to read if you want to about Buck pocketknives and others... ...

Despite adverse publicity the pocketknife lives on in some of the finest
tradition and state of the art designs ever conceived.

X-L-ent read,,, It points out how far we have moved from the country I knew. I was talking about this just the other day with Mrs. Snotwad. I was showing her how to use a jack knife and got to waxing about how in order to get my Wolf Badge, I had to earn a wood chip carry card by passing a practical test that demo'd my ability to safely be trusted with my new Cub Scout pocket knife. Then, while showing how the locking blade on a 110 works, I sliced my trigger finger's 2nd joint dang near to the bone. As John Wayne once said, "Life's tough, it's tougher if your stupid"

Knock on wood... I've not cut myself in years. My wife can look at a knife and cut herself. when we camp, she frequently asks for assistance with the folders. It's nice to be wanted and makes me feel "manly". My first knife in scouts was a Case fixed blade hunting knife and lost it trout fishing. I was so hurt about losing that knife. When I was in scouts we didn't have the knife chit but my boys did. I enjoyed Cub Scouts but Boy Scouts was a drag, especially after I discovered hunting and girls. I preferred being on my own till the army got me.

I remember...not that long ago...when an adult man would no sooner leave the house without his pocket knife than without his pants.

My honeybunch [ www.kathyjo.net ] went to the Grand Canyon and Vegas for a week with Daves girl Karen WITHOUT any kind of means of self-defence because they knew there would be trouble at the airport if I packed a knife with her...Even on checked bag ! I wonder why such extreems....
