You can just carry it in your pocket or on a belt using the rubber band.

… but not least… It makes a neat little necker.

rubber band, eh? You crazy bugger!:D

Tai Goo strikes again. What a great little package. The tiny forged hook alone is worth the price of admission. Not to mention the rubber band!

You can keep the "idea" for free Tai;)
My gift to you......

So in your opinion, is using a common rubber band to hold a custom knife
in it's sheath elegant? Why not a paper clip instead of the hook? ;)

In my opinion, it shows Tia has a good sense of humor. :D :)

Elegantly humorous,… and mildly cleaver. :)

Actually, the way it’s designed you can secure the blade with a wide variety of items, what ever you like or what ever is handy,… string, rubber band, strip of leather, ribbon, o-ring, etc., etc., etc.,...

I’m sure the lowly rubber band is enjoying all the attention though.
It works great and looks fine to me. :)

'mildly cleaver'!
:D

Pockidashi 2, or is it the “Rubidashi“?

I’ve tried a number of alternative fastening materials, but the rubber band wins out!… for function and looks! Any elastic material with a round cross section like an o-ring or round hair tie is more likely to “roll” off the post than the flat rubber band. Flat hair ties aren’t as elastic and secure as the #64 rubber band. Ribbon and string seem too slow, but do hold the blade well.

I’ve been carrying the original a number of different ways. It’s nice, because I don’t always have time to put a “surgical edge” on my other users. So, I keep a surgical edge on it, for when I need it,… which is more often than I thought! LOL … (I do primitive brain surgery as a sideline,.. (not).)

How did I ever live without it?

could try a hair tie. Used them for a lot of reasons, keychains and such.
Make it look a little more finished.

Nice work on that sheath though.
