Podcast: A visit to Victorinox HQ

A while back, Roger R. (Swissbianco) passed along this link in one of his newsletters. I just had an opportunity to watch it this morning.

It's a ~20 minute video clip of a visit to Victorinox world headquarters by a TV crew. The narration and all the dialogue are in German, so I can really only catch the words for "work," "knife," and something about music (?). Hehehe.

Anyway, there's great footage of the manufacturing and QC processes (a Bundeswehr OHT is prominently featured!) as well as footage of "one of a kind" knives produced for US presidents, popes, and such.

thanks for posting this, it gives an verry good insight on how the factory looks as i get it while im there.

with no understanding the swissgerman languise its still verry interesting to watch...

now you have that feeling i get outside swiss.

but its better not to understand some swiss say there, some bad words too.

I finally got a chance to watch the video. That one guy shook LOTS of hands that day! It was especially cool to see the employees work on the Swiss army knives--they're really quick! ...the fancy dancing in the beginning was pretty good too!

that movie was spl over people that work there. they like to work by that company and dont get bored making knives for years. the men that got that many handshakes is half blind and work there for many years so they congratulate. he started as an joung men.
