Dear Members,

The podcast is going through the roof. I was at the BLADE Show when we first released it, and it has hit the ground running ever since then.

Before BLADE, I had already contacted a number of people to have on as guests so we knew we had a lot to do, but now I've got people contacting me asking to be on the show. I wanted that to happen. I just wasn't ready for it to happen so soon.

And then I had a funny moment at BLADE, when a well-known figure in the knife industry approached me to inquire about being a guest. "What other knife-makers have you had on?" was his question. "None," I said. "It's not about knives." "What would you have to talk about?" were his next words. It caught me so off guard, I didn't have an immediate answer. "Many things," was all I could say.

It was at that moment that I realized that the knife community assumes that I'm just about knives, just like all the rest. And I also realized that the knife community would have no reason to know any better because we've never advertised or exploited the other side of my career, even though I have been much busier with that than I ever was with the knives.

I have never limited myself to only one thing, or even a few things. Well, now maybe some of you will get to know the other side, the place where I am always the most comfortable. I invite you to come and join me for conversations with experts from all walks of life, and what it takes to be an "uncommon man." Perhaps then you, too, will get a chance to experience some of the "many things" we all have to talk about.

Best regards,

Glad it's taking off so well.

I'm surprised anyone would think all you had to talk about was knives. I guess they missed the books, videos, blogs, etc.

Nice job on including Extreme Ownership. I had bought Discipline Equals Freedom, and recently bought this one.
