Has anyone had experience sharpening the Bluephin scandi grind? Particularly on a Wicked Edge? I would like to try to get a mirror edge on the whole bevel but am not sure the WE will match the angle well enough to do it. I won't have the knife until Tuesday or so. Thanks

A knife not intended to be sharpened on a guided system will have its challenges.

That knife has a nasty corse belt grind a guided system is too accurate, you will probably sell the knife before it gets dull but if you want it polished do it on a belt.

Should I take this to mean that the knife will hold an edge for a long time or that I won't like it and will sell it quickly?

The knife has a thick stock and a scandi grind. I can hardly imagine it to be a proficient slicer:

Just look at that video to see how much force and leverage he needs to apply to cut the cardboard. To me I rather keep the knife as something in a collection and not much as of a user. Sharpening may be difficult and if you were to sharpen it, it'd be best be done on a belt or stone. Not so sure if the WE can sharpen those bevels, but then again I don't own a WE.

Just as a note to anyone interested in a Pohan Leu knife, this thing is amazing! The blade stock is thicker on my Curtiss F3 and my Brous T4 than the Bluephin. The Bluephin actually slices quite well and is crazy sharp!
