A heads-up:
In general I am not so fond of big mean tactical folders, yet as an exception I always had a soft spot for Pohl Force's positively beastly Alpha series. Incredible XXXL folders that put a big stupid grin on our faces, and cause head-shaking and a migraine with sensible people.
Now there is a new one coming in June, and what a cool thing it is: the Foxtrott One, available in in outdoor and (black blade) survival variants.

Core Information:
112mm sheepfoot-ish blade, 5mm thick D2 steel at 60 rockwell
147mm long handle is G10 at one side, titanium frame lock with rotoblock at the other side.
220gr which is not light but still doable considering the size of the thing
Lion Steel makes it and indeed the frame lock side reminds of the SR-1.
The handle itself is a lot like the one of the Alpha, meaning big enough to use it with gloves.
The thumb disc can be taken off for legal compliance if required.
299 euro.

Start drooling...

Pretty impressive, I agree with that it's a true "Wahnsinnteil." Looks like they skipped a few letters of the alphabet though, and that's pretty steep for the American market.

Whoa man!

That looks like its means business! I really like it, but just like the Alpha this one is way too large!

I'd definitely buy a smaller version, somthing in the same size-range as the Bravo.

Anyt estimated date of release?

I am not a fan of that scalloped grip "texture".
I don't like any knives with that. It's not my thing.

I've always loved that kind of sculpted texturing. 299 EURO, wow! Also, I was wondering when you'd post again, Dagon. Good to see ya back. Always loved your reviews on youtube.

It's definitely a provacative knife but isn't that around $400 US right now? Not that it wouldn't be worth the money since many of us spend $400 for many nicely made knives, but at that size, it seems specialized to a degree . . .

I'd like one though! :D

Good to seee you again too, Dagon :)

The word "abomination" is a bit strong, but that knife definitely isn't my cup of tea. :p I really like the look of that sculpted G10/Ti, though.

I like it, but I don't like the blade shape nearly as much as my tanto blade Pohl Force Alpha 3. It's interesting that not only do they offer a kydex sheath for open carry, like for the Alpha 3, but also a pancake sheath for closed carry.
One day I'm going to order the kydex sheath for the Alpha ,although if I remember correctly, it's at least 50 bucks.

Very nice looker, and I am becoming more and more fond of the blade shape. But at least I don't have to worry about saving for one because of the G-10/titanium handles, a definate no-go for me. Though a liner lock version, or all titanium handle version would definitely peak my interest!

Thanks for bringing it up Dagon. I have always liked reading your posts.:)

I do like the blade shape, resembling a santoku somewhat, it tends to work well for many things, including food prep. The 5mm thickness may limit it usability in that area though - however the Alpha worked surprisingly well on food.

I bought the Taiwan-made Alpha one for around 130 euro back then, which was by European standards very cheap for what you got. The new one, probably nicely made by Lion Steel (a company whose products I love) is more inline with European-made prices. This less than the price of a frame lock Military here in Europe.

The Alpha, while big is actually quite comfortable. Of course it's not the kind of thing you EDC in your pocket around "civilized company" - they will be spooked. More something in a daypack during a hike (in my experience). And it's great fun around barbecues for the meat food prep, as your friends will be shaking their heads unbelievingly :-)

Indeed a Bravo sized variant could be very tempting.

Thanks for the very kind words. It's like this that I moved for at least 2 years to Singapore, and I only took a handful of knives with me. But I already bought a Paramilitary 2 here :-)
Anyway preparation for the move and the current workload limit my hobby time, but videos will eventually resume at a lower pace - currently shooting for a mini series about Singapore as a food paradise! Of course, that Paramilitary 2 will also get a clip.
Next time I'm in Belgium, I think I will take the Bravo One back - it's a good one on holiday trips.

Hi Guys,

check out our POHL FORCE Facebook account to get more news and photos on Foxtrot One and Kilo One. Once we have the knives in stock, I am more than pleased to send knives for a Passaround. I am sure, that the real knives will change the mind on many forum members! Whoever wants to take care of this should contact me under contact@pohlforce.com

Ahhh Dagon, you bring some tempting things to my attention. I really like the knife, but for a "tactical" knife I would prefer a clip or drop point.

Just arrived today from Cuscadi in Germany. Pohl Force Foxtrott One Survival (PVD) built by Lion Steel. Very nice knife!. Some photos-

Nice!!! I bet it feels great in the hand. I love these huge folders, completely different from the Alpha series which is more my price range. Still, the Foxtrot is a beautiful design and appears to be wonderfully made.
