point style

What point style do YOU like? It won't do you much good to buy something I need for work you don't do. I think their original blade shape was interesting.
 
Tantos are known for penetration, and that neat little angle where they meet can be used pretty well. The down side is they are harder to sharpen in my opinion, if you want to keep the factory shape. I go for a drop point, or whatever they call their modified sheepsfoot.
 
If you tend to do more slicing type cuts, something with the point above centerline may be preferable; and you may prefer a point below center if you tend to do more cutting that requires point control. For general purpose EDC carry, get something at or close to the centerline for a good all around compromise.
