We'll I don't really know what to think about this one, it is a little different from what I would normally do, but it is kind of unique , being all the steel in this one, is from a piece of cable with 52100 thrown in with the blade mix, I really don't know if this is exceptable, but it is interesting, with all the different strands of steel and the 52100 added it has 217 individual pieces of steel, so being folded 1 time would that mean this blade has 434 folds :D . just curious.
The pin is from a strand of a strand of cable heated to welding heat and twisted several time. I throught it was kind of cool. Sorry for the blurry pic, need to get a better camera.

Thanks
Bill

Hey,

That is a fantastic knife!!! Just the type of knife I like to make myself(minus the damascus). I like it a lot!!!

Well I know what Yo think of it Bill. It's beautiful. Been cranking out some top notch stuff this month and making all us no talent folks feel bad.:D It is special, keep them coming, you may get to retire with Tom Mayo yet!:D

That is really sweet Bill! I love knives with a Damascus blade and guard. Pattern looks great and the antler sets it all off just right!!

Bill that's great! I like the wires pin and the pointy blade, this is a nice looking knife. One I'd love to carry!

Thanks Guys,

It sure does boost a fellers ego to receive so many nice compliments from so many highly talented knifemakers, we all put so much of our lives and souls into these knives and when we're finished all we can see are things that we should have done differently to improve the next one. Its been said many times and I have talked and experienced it personnally just this weekend, talking to another knifemaker that lives a couple hours from me. A knifemaker is his own worst critic, seeing and comdemning his work over small mistakes that no one else can see, thats what makes a true knifemaker continue that never ending search for that never made perfect knife, always striving for something better.
Thanks guys for all your encouragement and generious advice over this last year, finding and joining this forum last year has trully been a great help and sometimes the needed inspiration I've needed to continue on. ;)

Thanks,
Bill
