Hey guys, I am looking for a polar fleece vest. It doesn't need to be super warm, as it is for urban wear. If it is really cold, I'll throw a jacket over the top. A university type logo would be great, or a decent sporting team. Online searches haven't yielded much, and the prices are quite high. Does anyone have any ideas?
Cheers, numbersman.

Deal spotting isn't allowed so I'm not sure how to recommend a popular website other than fleabay.

Sorry, wasn't looking for a deal, just a regular store with online shopping. I am really having trouble finding something relevant. They are mostly too warm or quite expensive, so I was looking for something medium price. I have received a warning for this, so it might be time to consider this thread closed. Sorry mods.

So long as we aren't discussing prices and sales, I'm not sure how discussing brands and particular non-knife items would run afoul of the deal spotting rules. It's done all the time for clothing and camping equipment on Bladeforums.

Our family has gone through more fleece garments than you can imagine with our kids and ourselves and IME, Polartec 200 is well worth the money. It holds up better, doesn't pill as badly. The 200 weight is really perfect for cool weather and around town. Not too heavy and layers up really well, particularly for a vest.

Just Google for "Polartec 200 vest" and you should find links to LLBean, Lands End, Cabelas and several others.

Personally, I think the LLBean products are among the best values out there.

Here in the mountains I wear fleece practically year-round. I don't understand your difficulty in finding fleece because you can buy it at any discount department store, outdoor store, clothing store, or sporting goods store.

I have some 'normal' fleece vests, but my favorite is a "Windstopper" vest. That may be more expensive though; I received it as a gift.
I also have an "Icewear" vest that's very warm but has a more work-wear style.
The softest and most comfortable fleece is a vest from St. Johns Bay.
And I'm surprised at how long some of the no-name fleece from discount department stores lasts.

At the risk of deal-spotting, check out:
Campmor, especially their store-brand fleece.
Sierra Trading Post, a discount outdoor store based in Cheyenne, WY.
JC Penney's and their St Johns Bay brand
Cabelas.

Regarding the sports team logos, sorry I can't help with that. I'll advertise for sports teams when they pay me. :grumpy:
