Does anyone own either a Police 3 and/or a Chinook 3? I'm thinking of buying one or both these knives if they're okay. If there has been a previous post on this please link me to it.

I can't speak for the police, but I have a chinook3.It's built like a tank, has some of the best ergos I ever had in a knife,& the full-flat grind makes it a great slicer.
I would highly recommend a Chinook 3

CLACK!!!!Is what it sounds like,opening;)

I have neither but have been looking at the chinook 3 as well. It looks like it'd be mighty fine blade for me as a companion in the kitchen. It's a wee bit pricey up here in Canada but will look forward to hearing more in this thread.

Same goes ... went for my Police 3. But now it's in peices, because Spyderco CS does not carry parts (d-nut in my case) for the Japanese knives.

Go with the Chinook.

i have been a spyderco collector since they came onto us soil, they are topnotch knives, have many of them, to man to mention here.

i own the rookie, police model, serrated and plain edge, the chinnook 3 and all of them are superb. it is hard to say which one i like best, but i guess it would come down to what you are going to use it for...

you will find the quality of the spyderco to be superior to most of your high end knives and the customer service is impeccable, i have talked to people that works in their factory on a personal level and they state the same...

can't go wrong with them, the are a safe and sure bet.................

I like the Police 3, it's slim and quick. If you want a heavy duty knife the Chinook will best it, but the Police 3 is a totally different beast.

They are both very different knives. The Police 3 is a superb slicer while the Chinook is a heavy duty tank designed for MBC.

Of the two, I would recommend the Chinook over the Police to start with. The Police 3 is a very large knife, and this is from someone who edc's a Military almost daily.
