Police 3 SS (serrated) vs G10 plain edge model

Hi guys,

I'm looking for owners of either (or both model(s) mentioned in the title. I plan to get just one of them and I'd like opinions on both blades.

Thanx for your time and opinions !

The stainless has less grip in the hand, and slides into the pocket easier. It is also a little heavier, or at least feels heavier. That makes the G10 grippier and lighter. :) Serrated vs. plain edge? I like them both, but probably the majority will lean toward the plain edge as it is easier to sharpen, gives a smooth cut on paper and cardboard, etc. But you can do anything with a SE that you can do with a PE, plus the SE rips through fiberous material better, and retains a working edge longer.

There's no such animal as a SS Police 3. As for the differences between a SS Police and a G-10 Police 3: IMHO, the Police 3 is a better slicer, the Police has a more acute "splinter picker" tip, the Police is heavier, the Police 3 has a longer blade and a 50/50 choil. As with the question of serrated vs plain edge, which set of characteristics is "better" will depend on what you're looking for in a knife.

Thanx for the input guys. I feel like I'm choosing between looks and functionality. The Stainless serrated police looks fantastic imo the G10 seems to be the more sensible choice though.

The stainless police model is more slick in the hand and heavier. The slickness is why I dont own one. Sure it slips into a pocket easy enough but I dont want to get my hand sliced open poking something with it.
