Police G10- difficulty opening/closing

I just received a new Police G10 and noticed that it is VERY difficult to open and close the blade. I initially thought the pivot pin was too tight but then noticed that the lock itself is very difficult to depress. It seems that I need to use three times the force to unlock the blade when compared to the same type of lock on my Rookie.

Is this normal for this particular model?
 
Hi CAK. I happen to be carrying a G10 Police today. The spring action should be stronger on the Police than the Rookie (heavier duty model), but I don't think 3 times as strong is normal.

Do you have any other Clipits (Lockbacks) besides the Rookie? How do they commpare?

Yeah, the spring action is much heavier than my other Spydies. I have called repair and will be sending it in on Monday.
