I really like the looks of this knife...

however, I really dislike the printing on the blade...

did they ever make any without the nomenclature?

is it difficult to remove?

thanks!

Hi There
In a word, yes, some knives don't have the Police marking. These knives are quite well liked by collectors. Sometimes the branding on current production knives is a little light and could possible be obscured by light polishing etc.

I have one in all stainless that is "sterile" and have seen one in G10 that has no such markings.

I prefer not to have any "billboard" on the side of a blade, be it the manufacturer, model, or designer's signature. Completely cheapens the knife's appearance, in my opinion.

I had a brand new SE military that didn't have military printed on the side. It was S30V. It was stolen. The new one I have has military printed on it... I really want to remove it too...

It wasn't an old version...

I got one not too long ago from a guy on eBay.
G10 handle with an unmarked, fully serrated, ATS-55 blade! :)

If anyone is listening, I don't care for POLICE on the blade either. I haven't even seen a Military, but I wouldn't want that on the blade either. It kind of just looks corny and cheap. I have a Spyderco knife because I am a free man who buys good stuff. I don't see why any knife should be labeled as a military item when regular folks ought to be able to use it just as well.
